Following inter-community clash during wedding, administration demolishes Muslim houses in Madhya Pradesh

The district administration in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh demolished nearly 50 houses belonging to the local Muslim community after a clash was reported between local Dalit and Muslim communities during a wedding procession. Earlier, stones were thrown after an altercation broke out between some members of the Dalit and Muslim communities. According to police, the wedding procession was passing outside a local mosque around 11 pm when some members of the Muslim community reportedly objected to loud music being played. Participants of the procession said the volume was lowered while passing the mosque. Muslims also alleged members of the procession also misbehaved with local women.
