When the Congress was in power in Assam, widespread corruption existed: MLA Krishnendu Paul
Guwahati: Krishnendu Paul, a lawmaker for the BJP, lashed out at the Congress, saying that corruption was rampant in Assam when the Congress was in power and that the common people didn’t have access to many services when the grand old party was in charge.
MLA Krishnendu Paul said at the Assam Legislative Assembly’s monsoon session that when the Congress was in charge of the state, a lot of people didn’t have access to services and “corruption was everywhere,” but that things changed after the lotus bloomed in Delhi and Dispur.
Paul said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s strong leadership has led to a lot of good changes in Assam.
